Cheryl Forberg, RD has a small private practice based in Napa, California, and meets with clients personally in the Bay Area. She also consults with clients remotely, “seeing” them via Skype or simply over the phone.
The basic rate is $150 per hour. Though the initial consult is usually an hour in duration, it takes an additional two and half hours in advance of the first meeting to analyze food journals and personal data and create a plan individually tailored to your specific needs. The first consult is billed for 3 1/2 hours ($525) and is to be paid in full at the time of the meeting (or in advance if working remotely). Subsequent sessions may be 30 or 60 minutes in length at the usual rate ($150/hr and $75 for half an hour). Most follow-up calls/visits are 30 minutes duration.
Depending on the goal and motivation level, clients generally meet with Cheryl 2 to 6 times, though this varies greatly.
