Very Berry Smoothie

by Cheryl Forberg, RD on August 12, 2011

You can mix and match your favorite berries in this smoothie to create a number of different flavors and textures. If fresh berries aren’t available, use frozen berries — just eliminate the added ice.

Makes 2 (1-cup) servings

1 cup low-fat plain kefir (such as Lifeway)
1/2 cup blackberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of ground cloves
6 ice cubes

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Serve immediately.
